(C) Air & Land Travel

What language will be used during the tour?

The basic language is either English and/or Mandarin Chinese, depending on the Registration Form’s indicated language. Sometimes, all the bus’ members may prefer either Chinese or English.

Since every members is given the use of a Wireless Receiver (with earplugs), it is possible for members to switch between languages, based on their preference.

♦ Wireless Translation System

Every member will be given a Wireless Earphone, which is used by professional guides and tours. All members can switch language channels, and listen to every word from the guide and speakers at all times.

Can I make my own travel arrangements and join the tour in AMMAN?

Yes, you may make their own travel arrangements. And we will provide an airfare credit to those making their own flight arrangements. However, those taking this option must assume responsibility for matching their travel schedule with that of the rest of the group—and the cost of ground transportation to join the group.

Moreover, if a reason for separate air travel is to use your own mileage, kindly be aware that, if planes are delayed or cancelled, award tickets might be under low priority by airlines, and your on-time arrival with the group might be jeopardized.

♦ Will my tour schedule ever change?

We reserve the right to alter the sightseeing itinerary to accommodate changes in local conditions and/or circumstances. If possible, you will be notified of any changes that are made to this itinerary prior to start of Tour.

♦ What airline will be used?

The main group will usually use established airlines, which are internationally certified (IATA).

However, if you are flying from a different gateway departure city or have chosen an extension, you may be on a different schedule and/or even an different airline from others in your group. But once you arrive from overseas, you will be on the same BUS with your group.

♦ When may I receive my flight information?

International flight information will be available approximately 30 days prior to departure; Airline tickets will be mailed with your final itinerary package approximately 2-3 weeks prior to departure.

For group air travel, there may be different arrangements (to be announced).

♦ May I purchase my own domestic tickets to the departure city?

Yes; however, we strongly recommend that passengers DO NOT purchase discounted tickets because of unforeseen schedule changes that may result in high cancellation fees. Airlines’ flight times are subject to change without advance notice.

♦ May I purchase my own international tickets?

Yes. Kindly remember that airport / hotel / airport transfers are not provided to passengers who have purchased their own international flights (unless previous arrangements are made with us). If you are a "ground only" passenger, you will meet the group at the first hotel and leave the group at the last hotel.

For individual travel, you will generally be responsible for making your own travel arrangements to/from the international airports.

♦ Who is responsible for any airline schedule changes and/or expenses?

All flight times are subject to change by the airlines without advance notice. We cannot be responsible for changes and/or delays in airline schedules, nor the expenses associated with such changes. We strongly recommend your purchase of travel INSURANCE which will cover trip delay, postponement, and cancellation. 

NOTE: Due to increased security at the airports we recommend arriving at least two hours prior to departure for domestic flights and at least three hours prior to departure for international flights.

♦ May I request special seating and/or meals on the flights?

Yes, requests should be submitted in writing no later than 90 days prior to departure. We cannot, however, guarantee your request can or will be honored by the airline. We regret that we cannot process Frequent Flyer requests for you. If you desire to claim Frequent Flier Miles on your trip, please call the airlines directly or request it at the check-in counter.

♦ Will my group travel together on the same airline?

Every effort will be made to keep groups together; however, depending upon your itinerary, the size of the group, and the availability of seats on the same flights, some groups may be on several different domestic and/or international flights. But once at your hotel, you will be on the same BUS during the entire tour.

Will a company representative be available at the airports?

Our travel agency in the Middle East / Europe will meet groups upon arrival at your final destination in Amman / Athens, and will help with return departures from Cairo or Rome.

Will all flights go through New York/JFK?

No. For US Groups, flights can depart from several of the major international departure gateways throughout the USA. For other groups, they usually use the same departure cities (as announced).

How much luggage am I allowed to bring?

Due to limited space available on buses, for luggage, only ONE suitcase (limited to approximately 44 lbs) and one carry-on bag per person is allowed. Garment bags are not allowed. Most airlines will accept 45 maximum linear inches (length + width + depth) for check luggage. Carry-on must fit under seat or in overhead compartment of the plane and under the seat or in your lap while on the bus. Hotel Porters do not handle your carry-on luggage.

NOTE: Since airlines/bus requirements changes, final dimensions will be known about 90 days before the tour.)

Your Tour package will include several luggage tags to be placed on your checked luggage. We strongly recommend you include the luggage tag on both your checked and carry-on luggage.

What to expect upon arrival at the airport!

You will be met by our representative just outside the baggage claim area. Collect your luggage and follow the instructions from our representative. Luggage carts may be free or available for an extra charge.

What are the BUSES like?

The deluxe touring motor coaches are air conditioned, and Israel buses will accommodate 48-54 total passengers.

What is the max number of passengers we could have in a bus?

Bus capacity for Jordan and Egypt is 48 persons. Israel buses are larger with 54 capacity. But we must calculate based on the lower 48-capacity  

Sometimes, when we must have over-capacity, we have a small van following the buses; but that involves extra expenses with extra guide and driver.

Are there rest rooms on the buses?

The buses do not have restrooms. But since our tour leaders control the bus’ itinerary at all times, sufficient stops will be made for the comfort of our passengers, all along the tour route.

Are there Restroom facilities on Mount Sinai?

No. If you intend to climb Mount Sinai, we recommend (for women) an adult diaper.

How long is the typical sightseeing day?

The tour typically started from the hotel at 8:15AM and returns in the late afternoon around 5:30PM. If there are some time variations, it will be announced ahead of time during the tour. The printed daily ITINERARY will be strictly followed.

However, sometimes due to unavoidable conditions and changes or omissions had to be made, we always try to make substitutions of other sites, services, or refunds, as much as possible.

Is there any free-time during the tour?

Each day is quite full with sightseeing. But if you wish to miss a day of touring,  you should notify your tour leader/guide (itinerary permitting). If you need to separate from the group tour for a little while, always be sure you have a companion with you—with the permission of our group leader.
