Enjoy a tour of city. Then visit
world famous Acropolis,
including Parthenon & Mars
Hill, where Paul gave his
speech. (Athens stopover is
FREE on Olympic Air.)
Evening
arrival at
Ben Gurion Airport in Lod,
where Peter healed man with
palsy.
Overnight
at Herzlia (by the
Mediterranean).

MEDITERRANEAN
COAST
Visit Joppa, where Jonah had
sailed for Tarshish. Drive north
to Caesarea, capital of Roman
Palestine. See theatre where
Paul stood before King
Agrippa. From here, Paul was
taken prisoner to Rome
Continue
to Haifa Harbor and
up
Mt Carmel to Mukhraka, for
spectacular
view of northern
Israel.
Lunch:
Jewish Kibbutz meal.
Drive
to Megiddo overlooking
the
Jezreel Valley, future site of
Battle
of Armageddon. Then on
to
Nazareth, hometown of Jesus.
Visit
largest Church of
Annunciation.
Drive through
village
of Cana to Tiberias.
Overnight
at Tiberias

GALILEE,
JORDAN RIVER
Take
the boat from Tiberias up
north
to Capernaum. See the
ancient
synagogue and Peter’s
house.
Visit Tabgha, with its
mosaic
of Loaves & Fishes.
Continue
to Mount of
Beatitudes,
where Sermon on
the
Mount is remembered.
Drive
north to Caesarea-
Philippi
(Banias), near where
the
River Jordan started. Tour
the
Golan Heights. LUNCH:
Enjoy
“Peter fish.” Drive to
south
end of Sea of Galilee for
Baptism
in the Jordan River.
Overnight
at Tiberias.

SAMARIA,
WEST BANK
Visit
Biblical Beth-Shan,
Israel’s
largest archaeological
site.
Drive through picturesque
Samaria,
rich in Bible history.
Stop
at ancient Samaria
(Sebaste),
Shechem, and Shiloh,
where
Abraham once pitched
tent.
See Mt. Gerizim and Mt.
Ebal.
Worship at Jacob’s Well.
See
regions of Bethel, where
Jacob
saw the heavenly ladder.
Overnight
in Jerusalem.

#6
JERUSALEM
Wade
through King Hezekiah’s
underground
water Tunnel, from
Gihon
to Siloam Springs. Enter
Jerusalem
through Dung Gate to
Wailing
(Western) Wall, and
visit
the Temple Area, with the
Dome
of the Rock and Al-Aksa
Mosque.
Take
the Via Dolorosa (“Way
of the Cross”) from Pilate’s
Judgment Hall. Walk through
traditional stations of the Cross,
to Church of Holy Sepulchre.
See
Bethesda Pool, where the
angel
ruffled the water. Sing in
acoustically
perfect St. Anne’s
church,
birthplace of Mary.

Chinese
Meal. Drive
to
Dead Sea Scroll Museum,
nearby
is the Knesset. Visit Yad
Vasim

DEAD SEA
Pray in the Garden of
Gethsemane; go to High Priest
Caiaphas’ house, where Peter
denied the Lord. Observe the
Lord’s Supper at the Upper
Room. See King David’s tomb.
Drive south to Bethlehem, with
its oldest Church of Nativity.
See the Shepherd’s fields.
See Place of Ascension, the
Pater Noster Church (Lord’s
Prayer), and walk the Palm
Sunday Road. LUNCH:
Passover meal.
Drive to Jericho, near the
Dead
Sea, to see Elisha’s Spring, Mt.
of Temptation, and (possible)
Jericho Wall. Take a cable car
up to Masada, scene of last
Jewish resistance to Rome.
Visit
Qumran, where the Dead
Sea
Scrolls were found. Swim
in
the Dead Sea. See statue of
Lot’s
wife (time permitting).
Overnight
in Jerusalem.

AMMAN,
MOAB, MOUNT NEBO
Cross famous Allenby Bridge
into
Trans-Jordan. Visit in both
ancient
and modern Amman, the
oldest
capital in the Mideast.
Use
the old highway to view
ancient
Moab on mountaintop.
LUNCH
at Madaba, with its
ancient
mosaic. Climb up
Mount Nebo and look into
Canaan.
Overnight in Amman.

MOAB,
EDOM, PETRA
Drive south through Moab,
Edom and
the East shore of
Dead Sea.
Arrive in Petra,
ancient
city of Edom. Tour the
magnificent
rock-city of Petra.
See the
ancient Israelites’ route
around Edom
into Canaan.
Overnight
in Petra.

SINAI
PENINSULA
From Jordan’s Aqaba border,
use speed boat across Red Sea
to Sinai's Nuweiba. LUNCH:
Chinese meal. Drive through
eastern Sinai Peninsula. Here
the Israelites wandered for 40
years. Overnight at
the foot of
Mount Sinai
Day #11
MOUNT
SINAI, RED SEA
Early
morning climb to the top
of
Mount Sinai, see magnificent
sunrise
and Elijah’s cave. Then
tour
St. Catherine Monastery
with
its 1,400-year history. See
Moses’
Burning Bush.
Afternoon
drive along western
desert
coast of Sinai Peninsula,
passing
by the Exodus sites of
Rephidim,
Elim and Malah, to
Cairo.
LUNCH: Red Sea fish
meal.
Pass
under the famous Suez
Canal.
(Time permitting)
continue
to Memphis with its
colossal
statues of Ramses, see
Sakkara
the “city of the dead,”
and
the Steps Pyramid.
Supper:
Egyptian meal.
Overnight
in Cairo.

EGYPT,
CAIRO
Drive
to Giza to see the famous
pyramids
of Cheops, Chephran
and
Mycerinus, entering the
interior
chamber of the Cheops
Pyramid.
Then to the Sphinx,
which
joins the head of a
Pharoah
with a lion’s body.
LUNCH:
Chinese meal. Visit
the
Egyptian Museum containing
5,000
years of Egyptian history.
View
the magnificent King
Tutankhamun
collection.
Visit
the traditional site of the
Holy
Family’s residence in
Egypt,
and the place where baby
Moses
was found by the Nile.
See
ancient Coptic Churches.
