8:10-11 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star
from heaven...and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the
fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood.. and
many men died
An actual falling star now targets all the springs and fountains (supplier of man's potable water supply). It further poisons one-third of all rivers. The result was the death of many people, who drink its waters. "Wormwood" is a bitter desert plant mentioned seven times in the Bible. It represents sorrow and severe judgment.
