[Revelation Ch.8: The Trumpet Judgments] I.
Prelude to the Trumpets
REV
8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in
heaven about the space of half an hour.
For 30 minutes, heaven is silent, the angels are speechless. The terrible
trumpet judgments--never before directed to earth-- would be unleashed.
This silence is ominous and foreboding. REV
8:2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to
them were given seven trumpets.
The seventh seal starts the trumpet judgments. Since the first seal starts
the antichrist's covenant with Israel, which was broken at mid-week, the
trumpets may start at mid-week.
