[Daniel Ch.12: Concluding Events]

II. Two Questions (12:5-10)

DAN 12:6-9  And one said to the man clothed in linen...How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? And I heard the man clothed in linen...[said] that it shall be for a time, times, and an half...And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

The first question was communicated between two angels; the second question was from Daniel and was unanswered. There were apparently two angels, beside the angel in linen, near the Tigris. One of these two angels asked the other regarding the time-length of the tribulation period (in 11:36-45). The answer was given by the angel in linen: "a time, times, and an half" or 3-1/2 years.

Then Daniel wanted to know what is God's program for Israel beyond the tribulation period.  The angelic answer was to left that question unanswered to Daniel. In God's plan, future prophets and especially the New Testament would complete His revelation.
