[Daniel Ch.3: The Fiery Furnace]

Introduction

     After the incident of Nebuchadnezzar's dream and its interpretation, the king now had an huge image constructed.  This image probably looked like a man, perhaps even patterned after what he saw in Chapter 2.

     Gentile empires started with an image (Dan. 3); they will end with another image (Rev. 13).  Both were intended for selfish, idolatrous purpose.
