[Introduction
to Daniel]
I.
Daniel and Prophecy
The
book of Daniel is an indispensable introduction to New Testament prophecy.
Its descriptions of the antichrist, the king of the north, king of the
south, and Israel crucially complement that of the New Testament
revelation. Its "70 Week" prophecy serves as a vital framework
in the study of future events at the tribulation and this present age.
The book of Daniel wonderfully traces the "times of the
Gentiles" (Luke 21:24) from the captivity of Judah under
Nebuchadnezzar to the Second Coming of Christ and His millennial reign.
